Pregnancy Yoga

Pregnancy Yoga at Stralende Mama is given in a privet setting. This can be done in combination with hypnobirthing or with the Doula support. You can select and put together your package to your own liking. This way you can follow multiple courses with us at different locations.


Pregnancy Yoga is a form of yoga in which you prepare for the birth of your baby from a holistic approach of mother and child. In this course you will learn how to come into contact with your unborn child. We will be talking about a natural and self-aware way to give birth, in a loving way in which mother and child connection is at the heart of what we do.


The form of yoga we practice is a gentle flow of Ashtanga yoga.

The course consists of the following components:

  • Bodily exercises (Asanas)
    These exercises target the condition and balancing of your body. Furthermore there are exercises which will prepare you for the birth of your baby, so that the pregnancy and birth of your baby happen as harmoniously as possible. In combination with the tools you can learn with hypnobirthing you will be able to further develop into your own body.
  • Mindfulness
  • Breathing and relaxing exercises. A relaxed body allows for the birth to happen much smoother. A steady breathing pattern ensures rest, security, balance and self confidence which all draw on your inner strength to emerge.
  • Partner classes optional(additional 40€)
  • Positions
  • Pushing
  • We can also delve deeper into the inner workings and necessities for giving birth
  • In case of enough applicants for a group, we can start a weekly class in our own location Studio Stralende Mama in Amsterdam.

From May 2018 Stralende Mama falls under the association of Yoga Alliance Professionals.
